For You, From Us
Once you are accepted at Seton Hill and have completed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), we 'll match you up with the scholarships, grants and awards for which you are eligible. (In the rare cases where auditions or special applications are needed, we 'll let you know in advance.) Scholarships, grants and awards are generally renewable and can substantially reduce the cost of attending Seton Hill. (And, unlike loans, they never need to be repaid.)
Scholarships for Undergraduate Students
Academic Scholarships & Awards
All accepted students are evaluated for academic merit scholarships of $18,000-$26,000. No special applications are required.
Honors Scholarships
Honors scholarships are awarded to incoming full-time freshmen who are accepted into the Honors Program. These awards are valued at $10,000 over 4 years. This scholarship is renewable as long as the student remains in the Honors Program.
 Students can apply as soon as they are accepted by the University. Application deadline is March 1.
The Elizabeth Ann Seton Scholarship Program
Seton Hill Â鶹ÌìÃÀ¹û¶³´«Ã½has covered the cost of tuition for eligible students living in Pennsylvania through the Elizabeth Ann Seton Scholarship for a number of years. The Elizabeth Ann Seton Scholarship Program builds on the legacy of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton and the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill to provide access to higher education to all students. Seton Hill has always been committed to making our top-notch education as affordable as possible for all students - and is less expensive than some state schools! At Seton Hill, you will receive personalized support from day one to long after graduation.
The Elizabeth Ann Seton Scholarship Program provides additional scholarship money to qualified students. To be considered for the scholarship program, students must be a first-time freshman, Pennsylvania resident and be eligible for the federal Pell Grant.
Alumni Grants & Scholarships
- Alumni Grant: These awards are provided to any full-time student with a parent that graduated from Seton Hill University. They are valued at $2,000/year and are renewable.
- Sister de Chantal Leis Alumni Scholarship
: This scholarship is awarded to an incoming student, preference given to children of a graduate of Seton Hill. Renewable for three consecutive years provided the student maintains all academic requirements and Â鶹ÌìÃÀ¹û¶³´«Ã½standards. 


- Joseph C. Cahill Scholarship
: This scholarship was established to encourage children and grandchildren of Seton Hill graduates to attend the University. Preference is given to students not receiving extensive financial aid from other sources.
Athletic Scholarships
Seton Hill, a member of the NCAA Division II, awards athletic scholarships to eligible incoming students based on their athletic ability, an evaluation at open tryouts and recommendations from high school coaches. Athletic aid is offered to qualified women who participate in basketball, cross country, equestrian, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball and to qualified men who participate in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, lacrosse, soccer, track and field, and wrestling. Tryouts are held throughout the year.
Visual & Performing Arts Scholarships
Scholarships for students enrolled in the School of Visual and Performing Arts are renewable awards that vary in award amount. Students must be accepted to the Â鶹ÌìÃÀ¹û¶³´«Ã½and the Theatre and Dance, Music, or Art and Design Programs before being given consideration for an arts scholarship. National Science Foundation (NSF) STEM Scholars Program Scholarship
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded Seton Hill Â鶹ÌìÃÀ¹û¶³´«Ã½a competitive grant to support biology, biochemistry, chemistry and forensic science majors from under-resourced environments through scholarships as well as a mentorship network and career exploration program. Scholarships are valued at up to $10,000 per year and are renewable for 4 years. An application is required. Learn more and apply here.
Sisters of Charity Scholarships
These scholarships, which are renewable for four years, are made to incoming full-time freshmen who are recommended by a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill to attend Seton Hill University. Learn more and apply here.
Undergraduate International Merit Scholarship
Up to $26,000 USD per year for four years.
Transfer Scholarships
Transfer scholarships are awarded to students who enroll full-time at Seton Hill and have achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 based on all previous post-secondary coursework. These scholarships are valued at up to $21,000 annually and are renewable. The number of terms for which the scholarship may be renewed will depend on the grade level at which the student enters Seton Hill University.

WCCC Scholarship/Grant: 
Students who have been accepted to Seton Hill University, enroll full-time, and have attended Westmoreland County Community College and completed 15 or more credits will be awarded $1,500.
Grants for Undergraduate Students
Seton Hill Â鶹ÌìÃÀ¹û¶³´«Ã½Grants
Awarded to full-time undergraduate students who show demonstrated financial need based on the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Seton Hill Â鶹ÌìÃÀ¹û¶³´«Ã½Sibling Grants
Established in 1987 in recognition of the financial burden of having more than one child in college at the same time. An award of $2,000 per student will be granted when two undergraduate students are attending Seton Hill Â鶹ÌìÃÀ¹û¶³´«Ã½full-time concurrently. An additional award of $2,000 will be awarded per family for each additional full-time undergraduate student attending concurrently.
Catholic High School Grants
A scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded to graduates of Catholic high schools who enroll as first-year, full-time students in a bachelor's degree program at Seton Hill Â鶹ÌìÃÀ¹û¶³´«Ã½in the academic year immediately following their high school graduation. This scholarship is renewable.
Caritas Community Service Award 

The Caritas Community Service Award is presented to two incoming freshmen students enrolled full-time in a traditional undergraduate program who have demonstrated commitment to and involvement in community service. Awards are valued at $3,500 and are renewable. A short application is required. Application deadline is March 1. Learn more and apply here.
